This tournament is part of MIFICPA's activities in promoting social development in the community, to further camaraderie between accountants, non-accountants and bowlers alike and to raise funds to help the recent typhoon victims that devastated the Philippines.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Everyone is invited to form a team and join this tournament, non-accountants are welcome to join but each team (5-7 players) must have at least two members who are accountants. Tournament fee is 10.00 per player or 50.00 per team. Ang CNMI-Only Transitional Worker Program ay isa sa ilang mga inisyatibo na nagpapatupad sa Consolidated Natural Resources Act of 2008 (CNRA), na nagpapalawak sa batas sa imigrasyon ng U.S. sa CNMI.   &lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);"&gt;Bagama’t ang batas sa imigrasyon ng U.S. ay aaplay sa CNMI simula sa Nobyembre 28, ang isang panahon ng transisyon ay magsisimula sa petsang iyon kung kailan magsasagawa ng mga pansamantalang gawain upang pahintulutan ang maayos na transisyon mula sa permit system ng CNMI patungo sa batas ng US sa imigrasyon.  Ito ay magbibigay sa foreign workers (dayuhang manggagawa) ng panahon upang malaman ang angkop na klasipikasyon ng visa alinsunod sa Immigration and Nationality Act (INA).   &lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);"&gt;Sa ilalim ng CNRA, ang isang "transitional worker" ay ipinakahulugan bilang isang alien worker na kasalukuyang hindi kwalipikado para sa ibang klasipikasyon sa ilalim ng INA at na nagseserbisyo o nagtratrabaho para sa isang tagapag-empleyo sa CNMI.  Ang kategoriyang Transitional Worker Visa ay isang bagong nonimmigrant visa classification sa ilalim ng INA gamit ang admission code (kodigo ng pagpasok sa bansa) CW-1 para sa pangunahing transitional worker at CW-2 para sa mga dependent.   &lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);"&gt;Ang CNMI-Only Transitional Worker Program ay makukuha ng dalawang grupo ng mga nonresident: (1) ang mga legal na nasa CNMI at (2) ang mga nasa ibang bansa. &lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);"&gt;Ang mga non-resident na nakatira sa CNMI ay maaaring klasipikahin bilang CW-1 nonimmigrants kung, sa panahon ng transisyon, sila’y: &lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);"&gt;1. Papasok o mananatili sa CNMI upang magtrabaho sa isang kategoriya ng trabaho na nangangailangan ng alien workers bilang dagdag sa mga lokal na manggagawa; &lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);"&gt;2. Pinetisyon ng isang tagapag-empleyo; &lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);"&gt;3. Nakatira sa CNMI; &lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);"&gt;4. Legal na nasa CNMI; at&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);"&gt;5. Hindi sana makakapasok sa Estados Unidos sa ibang paraan.    &lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);"&gt;Maaari ring gamitin ng mga tagapag-empleyo ng CNMI ang programa ng CW-1 upang makakuha ng kwalipikadong workers na nagpupunta sa CNMI mula sa ibang bansa.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);"&gt;Ang panahon ng transisyon ay magsisimula sa Nobyembre 28, 2009 at magtatapos sa ika-31 ng Disyembre 2014.  Ang CW classification ay valid para sa buong panahon ng transisyon. Sa katapusan ng panahon ng transisyon, magtatapos ang CNMI-Only Transitional Worker Program at ang transitional workers na may ganitong status ay dapat magpalit sa ibang nonimmigrant o immigrant status sa ilalim ng INA upang manatili nang legal sa CNMI.  &lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);"&gt;Sa ilalim ng CNMI-Only Transitional Worker program, ang mga tagapag-empleyo ay maaaring mag-file ng isang petisyon para sa isang transitional worker sa USCIS gamit ang Form I-129CW, Petisyon para sa isang Nonimmigrant Worker sa CNMI. Ang bagong pormularyo na ito ay minodelo sa kasalukuyang Form I-129.  Ang bayad para sa Form I-129CW ay $320, ang parehong halaga na sinisingil para sa I-129 at isang $80 biometrics fee. Bukod pa rito, ang CNRA ay nag-uutos ng isang “CNMI education funding fee” na $150 para sa bawat benepisyaryo bawat taon, at ito’y hindi maaaring hindi bayaran.  &lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);"&gt;Dahil sa natatanging sitwasyon sa CNMI, ang I-129CW na singil ay maaari lamang ipawalang-bisâ sa mga ‘di-karaniwang sitwasyon kung saan maipapakita ng isang tagapag-empleyo na hindi mababayaran ang fee ngunit mababayaran pa rin ang suweldo ng empleyado. Mayroong ilang mga restriksyon pero maaaring mag-file ang mga tagapag-empleyo para sa multiple beneficiaries sa iisang I-129CW.  Ang mga tagapag-empleyo ay kailangang magsagawa ng legal na negosyo at hindi maaaring masangkot sa prostitusyon, trafficking sa mga menor-de-edad, o anumang ibang aktibidad na hindi legal sa ilalim ng pederal o CNMI na batas.  &lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);"&gt;Sa ilalim ng pansamantalang pinal na batas, kabilang sa CNMI-Only Transitional Worker program ang lahat ng mga kategoriya ng trabaho na ginagamit ngayon sa CNMI. At para sa unang taon, ang mga limit sa bilang ng CW-1 status ay batay sa sariling tantiya ng gobyerno ng CNMI sa bilang ng mga nonresident worker, na 22,417. Kasalukuyang wala pang ginagawang desisyon sa anumang extension sa panahong ito. &lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:100%;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight: bold; color: rgb(0, 0, 0);font-size:100%;" &gt;T.   Ano ang mga kinakailangan para sa bagong CNMI Transitional Worker visa o status?&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:100%;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);font-size:100%;" &gt;A. Ano ang dapat gawin ng asawa at/o anak ng worker upang makakuha ng CW-2 status?&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:100%;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);font-size:100%;" &gt;A. Upang makasama o sumunod, ang CW-2 nonimmigrant na asawa o anak ay maaaring mag-file ng isang aplikasyon para pahabain ang nonimmigrant stay sa Form I-539 alinsunod sa mga tagubilin ng pormularyo. Ang extension ng CW-2 status ay maaaring hindi aprubahan hangga’t hindi naaprubahan ang petisyon ng extension ng CW-1. Ang filing fee ay $300. &lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:100%;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight: bold; color: rgb(0, 0, 0);font-size:100%;" &gt;T.   Paano makakakuha ng CW status?&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:100%;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);font-size:100%;" &gt;A.  Oras na naaprubahan na ang petisyon ng I-129CW, ang benipisyaryo at ang mga kwalipikadong kapamilya ay maaaring mag-aplay para sa CW-1 o CW-2 status. At dahil ang foreign nationals na nasa CNMI ay hind nagbigay dati ng biometric na impormasyon sa Pederal na gobyerno, at dahil dito’y hindi isinagawa sa kanila ang mga kinakailangang security check, hihilingin sa kanila ang biometrics.  Ang fee upang makuha ang biometrics ay $80. Maaaring i-waive ang fee kung maipapakita ng mga aplikante na hindi nila kayang bayaran ang kapwa Form I-129CW at ang fees sa biometrics.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:100%;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);font-size:100%;" &gt;Ang aliens na nasa ibang bansa ay kailangang mag-aplay para sa CW-1 o CW-2 visa sa isang konsulado ng Estados Unidos. Kapag ang mga aplikante ay nag-aplay abroad, hindi hihilingin ng USCIS ang biometrics, gayunman, ang biometrics ay maaaring hilingin ng Department of State.  &lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:100%;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight: bold; color: rgb(0, 0, 0);font-size:100%;" &gt;T. Oras na nakuha na ang status, ang CW-1 o CW-2 nonimmigrant ay maaari nang umalis sa CNMI, pero dapat mayroon siyang angkop na visa upang makapasok muli. Paano ba kumuha ng visa para sa re-entry?&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:100%;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);font-size:100%;" &gt;A. Halimbawa, kung ang isang taong may CW-1 status ay nagplaplanong bumisita sa pamilya sa Pilipinas, kailangan siya mag-appointment sa Embahada ng Estados Unidos  sa Manila upang kumuha ng CW visa habang siya ay nasa Pilipinas. Kailangan siya mag-biyahe nang may mga dokumento na maipapakita niya sa State Department sa panahon ng kanilang interview at dapat handa siyang maghintay nang ilang araw hanggang ma-isyu ang visa. Ang bawat Embahada at Konsulado ng U.S. ay may naiibang sistema ng pag-appointment. Para sa karagdagang impormasyon tungkol sa Embahada o Konsulado ng U.S., na maaaring kailangan ninyong puntahan, dapat kayo magpunta sa:  http://www.usembassy.gov/.  Ang paghihintay sa visa para sa bawat Konsulado sa ibang bansa ay nakalista sa: http://travel.state.gov/visa/temp/wait/tempvisitors_wait.php.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:100%;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight: bold; color: rgb(0, 0, 0);font-size:100%;" &gt;T.   Maaari bang magbiyahe sa ibang lugar sa Estados Unidos ang mga taong may CW status?&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:100%;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);font-size:100%;" &gt;A.  Hindi. Ang CW visa classification ay valid lamang sa CNMI at hindi nagpapahintulot na magbiyahe sa anumang ibang bahagi ng Estados Unidos, kabilang ang Guam. Ang fee para sa Form I-129CW ay $320, ang parehong halaga na sinisingil para sa I-129. May fee waiver para sa $80 biometrics fee kung maipapakita ng mga aplikante na hindi nila kayang bayaran ito. &lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:100%;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight: bold; color: rgb(0, 0, 0);font-size:100%;" &gt;T.   Maaari bang magpetisyon ang isang tagapag-empleyo para sa higit sa isang worker sa parehong pormularyo?&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:100%;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);font-size:100%;" &gt;A. Ipapadala ito sa mail sa USCIS California Service Center. Ang panahon ng transisyon ay magtatapos sa Disyembre 31, 2014. Ang CW classification ay valid para sa buong panahon ng transisyon. Sa simula, ang CNMI-Only Transitional Worker status ay ipagkakaloob para sa 1 taon at ito ay maaaring i-renew sa buong panahon ng transisyon nang 1 taon bawat beses.  Sa katapusan ng panahon ng transisyon, magtatapos ang Transitional Worker Program at ang transitional workers na may ganitong status ay dapat lumipat sa ibang nonimmigrant o immigrant status sa ilalim ng INA kung nais nilang manatili nang legal sa CNMI. Maaaring i-extend ng U.S. Department of Labor ang availability ng CNMI Transitional Worker Program nang lampas sa 2014, pero sa ngayon ay wala pang ginagawang desisyon tungkol sa anumang extension.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:100%;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight: bold; color: rgb(0, 0, 0);font-size:100%;" &gt;T.   Anong mga kategoriya sa trabaho ang pahihintulutan?&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:100%;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);font-size:100%;" &gt;A. Makakatanggap ba ang domestic workers ng CW-1 transitional worker status sa ilalim ng programang ito?&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:100%;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);font-size:100%;" &gt;A.  Oo, pero dapat silang isponsoran ng isang kwalipikadong tagapag-empleyo na nagnenegosyo sa CNMI tulad ng nakalarawan sa itaas. &lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:100%;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight: bold; color: rgb(0, 0, 0);font-size:100%;" &gt;T. Ilang transitional worker visas ang magiging available?&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:100%;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);font-size:100%;" &gt;A.  Para sa unang taon, ang mga limit sa bilang ng CW-1 status ay ibabatay sa sariling tantiya ng gobyerno ng CNMI sa bilang ng foreign workers, na 22,417. Iniaatas ng CNRA na bawasan ang dami bawat taon nang ito’y maging zero sa katapusan ng panahon ng transisyon. Pinahihintulutan ng batas ang mga asawa at menor-de-edad na mga anak ng isang tao na may CW-1 nonimmigrant status na pumasok sa CNMI bilang “accompanying” o “following” na makapiling ang pangunahing CW worker.  Gagamitin ng patakaran ang kahulugan ng INA sa isang “bata” para sa layunin ng imigrasyon (maliban sa naturalization sa seksyon 101(b)), at idadagdag nito ang pangangailangan na ang bata ay dapat wala pang 18 taong gulang dahil binabanggit ng batas ang “mga menor-de-edad na mga anak” sa halip na “mga anak.” Ang pagtratrabaho ay hindi awtorisado para sa mga asawa at mga anak ng CW-1 nonimmigrants.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:100%;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight: bold; color: rgb(0, 0, 0);font-size:100%;" &gt;T.   Maaari bang baguhin ng CW-1 nonimmigrants ang status o maaari ba nilang i-adjust ang status?&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:100%;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);font-size:100%;" &gt;A.  Pinahihintulutan ng batas ang workers sa CW classification na lumipat sa ibang nonimmigrant status o baguhin ang status at gawing legal na permanent resident (kumuha ng green card) sa buong panahon ng transisyon kung sila’y kwalipikado. Pinahihintulutan ng patakaran ang isang alien na manatili o magpunta sa CNMI para sa pansamantalang panahon bilang isang CW-1 o CW-2 nonimmigrant at sabay na maghanap ng paraan upang maging isang legal na permanent resident ng Estados Unidos basta may balak ang alien na umalis nang kusang-loob sa katapusan ng kanyang awtorisadong nonimmigrant stay. Upang maging kwalipikado para sa CW-1 o CW-2 na klasipikasyon, hindi kinakailangang magmintina ang alien ng residence sa ibang bansa, at pinahihintulutan ang balak na maging dual immigrant at nonimmigrant.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:100%;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight: bold; color: rgb(0, 0, 0);font-size:100%;" &gt;T.   Ako’y isang foreign worker sa CNMI.   Maaari ba akong mag-aplay nang tuwiran para sa CW status nang walang pahintulot ng aking tagapag-empleyo?&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:100%;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);font-size:100%;" &gt;A. Hindi, ang CW status ay batay sa pangangailangan ng isang tagapag-empleyo sa CNMI sa iyong mga serbisyo.  Dapat kayong isponsoran ng inyong kasalukuyan o hinaharap na tagapag-empleyo sa pamamagitan ng pag-file ng isang Form I-129CW na petisyon. Gaano katagal ang panahon para sa isang CW-1 status?&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:100%;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);font-size:100%;" &gt;A.  Isang taon. Gaano katagal ang panahon para sa CW-2 status para sa asawa o menor-de-edad na anak?&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:100%;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);font-size:100%;" &gt;A. Oo, pero dapat mag-file ang bagong tagapag-empleyo ng Form I-129CW petition para sa bagong posisyon ng worker bago makapagtrabaho doon ang worker.  Ang CW-1 transitional workers ay awtorisado lamang magtrabaho para sa tagapag-empleyo na nagpetisyon para sa kanila.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:100%;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight: bold; color: rgb(0, 0, 0);font-size:100%;" &gt;T.   Ako’y isang CW nonimmigrant na nakakuha ng status sa CNMI.  Kailangan kong mag-abroad at bumalik nang madalian dahil sa biglaang emergency sa pamilya.   Magagawa ko ba ito nang walang visa?&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:100%;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);font-size:100%;" &gt;A.  Karaniwang inaasahan ang isang visa para makapasok muli sa CNMI ang isang CW nonimmigrant.  Gayunman, sa mga emergency na sitwasyon, maaaring makapagbigay ang DHS ng paunang pahintulot na magbiyahe at bumalik nang walang visa.   Mangyaring konsultahin ang opisina ng USCIS sa Saipan.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:100%;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight: bold; color: rgb(0, 0, 0);font-size:100%;" &gt;T.   Bilang isang CW nonimmigrant, makakapagbiyahe ba ako papunta o pabalik sa CNMI gamit ang flight na may stopover sa Guam airport?&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:100%;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);font-size:100%;" &gt;A.  Hindi.  Ang CW visas at status ay para lamang sa pagbiyahe papunta at upang manatili sa CNMI. Hindi kayo makakabiyahe sa anumang ibang lugar sa US, kahit na stopover lamang, nang walang ibang angkop na visa o dokumentasyon na nagpapahintulot sa ganoong pagpunta. &lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:100%;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight: bold; color: rgb(0, 0, 0);font-size:100%;" &gt;T.   Paano ba ako o ang aking kompanya makakapagsumite ng mga puna sa patakarang ito?&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:100%;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);font-size:100%;" &gt;A. It did not brought any strong winds but hours of heavy rainfall bringing in floods in various places in Metro Manila and neighboring rural areas. President Gloria Arroyo declared a "state of calamity" in most parts of Luzon after at least 86 casualties were initially reported dead in landslides and other typhoon incidents. Flood water levels reached a record 20 feet high in rural areas. As of October 9, 2009, at least 337 deaths were officially reported from the typhoon in the Philippines (source: &lt;a style="color: rgb(0, 0, 153);" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Typhoon_Ketsana_%282009%29"&gt;Typhoon Ketsana (2009) - Wiki&lt;/a&gt;)&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;A lot of people died, some are still missing, many home and other properties were destroyed. In this time of tragedy, many foundations, nonprofit and humanitarian organizations, are calling for help and donations to help those victims of the typhoon. As an organization with the mission to provide assistance to the public, MIFICPA supported this call by Donating 1,480.00 (US $) to the victims of Typhoon Ondoy through ABS-CBN Foundation, Inc. Title VII extends U.S. immigration laws to the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands (CNMI) which currently administers its own immigration system.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Under the CNRA, the Secretary of DHS has the sole authority to delay the June 1, 2009, transition date to U.S. immigration law up to 180 days, after consultation with the secretaries of Labor, Interior and State, the attorney general, and the governor of the CNMI.
